Did their test results include power draw?
I'm sure it benchmarks well, but does it actually have good battery life?
Even aside from battery life, high TDP means thermal throttling under sustained load. Which most of these benchmarks don't really test, or if they did, the ambient temperature affects the results.
"I'm not sure the results are real" "I'm not sure it's actually matching Apple's single thread perf" "I'm not sure it runs well when it's in a device" "I'm not sure it actually has good battery life" <-- Your goalposts are here, let us know when they move some more
The goalposts have been at "performance-per-watt" for a very, very long time. That was why Apple pivoted from PowerPC to Intel, believe it or not. PowerPC laptops couldn't match the battery life of Intel, so Apple pivoted. How times change!
