They contrasted ecoterroists versus white supremacists now, and labor vs fascists in the past.
If you insist on nitpicking, I'll spell it out for you:

So the fact that the labor groups the FBI targeted were white supremacist by today's standards makes those sentences complete nonsense.
If you say so. Makes sense to me, just weird to so specifically call out something that doesn’t distinguish them from half the population at the time.
