Note that being hyperphantasic can also be an advantage because you can create much more complex visual models to aid thinking in similar ways.

I think the bigger takeaway is not to think that having a particular sort of richness of any kind of mental imagery (regardless of the sense modality) is somehow automatically better or worse. The mind is malleable and an intelligent mind can find clever ways to exploit what it has most richly, and there are surely disadvantages to imagery of some sensory modalities being too rich or real (e.g. schizophrenia).
