Agree! Just a heads up for folks that you’ll likely want to download the Welcome Suica app which is aimed at tourists.
The regular Suica app is separate and is not English-friendly (this may be worth it for you only if you’re staying long term, ok with the language barrier, and want a card that doesn’t expire).
I was in Japan last year. iPhone version was super easy and worked flawlessly for me.

Is it the Apple Wallet version or the actual Suica app? I'm wondering about the Apple Wallet one.
Apple Wallet version is enough for 99% case. You do need the suica app for things like purchasing green car ticket etc.
