Where is the NRA in all this? I mean, the NRA and their acolytes have spent about 40 years insisting that private armory ownership is the last defense against an authoritarian government overreach. Here we are, this is the overreach. Are the US' well-regulated militias gearing up as we speak?
Cryptocurrency advocates are the more useful ideological group in this situation I think - the main way that this US government designation harms Autistici/Inventati is by cutting them off from legitimate fiat payment rails controlled by the US government. These are exactly the payment rails that Bitcoin, Monero, and other decentralized cryptocurrencies exist to bypass. Anyone trying to make it easier for people to buy things with bitcoin and avoid US KYC/AML laws while doing so, is making it easier for this ruling to be irrelevant to Autistici/Inventati.
no, theyve been insisting that gun companies get rich. thats the only real point of the NRA and second amendment crowd. a demand to a right to a business model
They don't really care about any of that. The NRA has been a slush fund for it's leadership for a while.
Who do you think most of the NRA members and gun owners voted for? Their definition of "authoritarian government overreach" is "A Democrat is in the White House."

If they are, it's because ICE is looking for recruits.
