Fun fact: this really only works in three dimensions.
In three, angular momentum in one axis is maintained. Everything else cancels out. More, and you get clouds.

Yes! Fascinating, that you can only get stable planetary systems in universes with three spatial dimensions. More, and it all goes to hell.
