I only learned about their CDN and protocol called Xet a couple of days ago https://huggingface.co/docs/hub/en/xet/index That puts it in the Cloudflare of AI models category.
They are the primary service for this. That comes with an audience and a lot of data.
They offer inference, too. I don't know anyone who uses this service, but presumably it must be reasonably popular.
