What a disillusioned take, I'm sorry for whatever chain of events and experiences lead to you having it.

Personally, living in the Baltics, even a flawed and somewhat fragmented Europe is better than being under a Russian boot.

So it's more of a "optimism and work towards a better future or perish" situation. That's an easy choice.
