But once again as I said before [0][1], don't buy the first version of an Apple product.

Wait a sec, you're quoting yourself for proof but you were pretty much objectively wrong in that case? HN unanimously agrees that the M1 was the biggest jump in capabilities and has had many many years of usability since launch.

  • Except what they didn't tell you was that the software was not optimized and did not work correctly for the M1 and you had to wait it to be ready; especially in the case for developers.

    That means, users (especially pro users / developers) lost months of productivity and had to wait for a year for the software to catch up with the hardware.

    In that time-frame, you might as well have waited and bought an M2 or above. Nice try though.

    • As an early adopter there was zero software I used previously that I couldn't run, and I believe most were in a similar boat
