The demo of the woman at the train station listening to a concert promoter in Spanish, taking a flyer, saying “thank you” in English and walking away came off as quite geocentric.

Did you mean to use another word here? I mean, the vast majority of people are still on Earth so many things are geocentric and that's rarely considered a problem.

    Hazarding a guess at egocentric considering it's just two characters next to each other swapped, and happens to fit.

    • I am mortified. I was going for something along the lines of ethnocentric. Thank you :)

    • Stopping to listen to someone is not very egocentric. Without the headphones (in the scenario) she would have just ignored him or politely declined the flyer.

      So either way, wrong word.
