It is even worse in home theater. People went from legit sound systems with an amp and speaker wire runs to actual speakers, proper audio channels, to what at best a sound bar from walmart and zero dynamic range.

I've intentionally killed the dynamic range of my system because sound engineers can't mix dialog for shit nowadays.
