The only thing depressing is the current state of the world, especially in regard to pollution and resources usage.

You're free to be an egoistic brain dead consumer, most people are, so go for it! Ignorance is bliss as they say

    You'd be much more brain dead to care about Airpods becoming waste once every few years than the far more plastic being chucked in a single 500ml bottle of Coke.
