There's approximately zero chance Google would go along with the changes that Apple would have had to make to support EU's DMA.
As a European, and Apple household: no new iPhone Duo, Watch or iPhone 18 Pro Max purchases in this house until Apple desists with its malicious campaign to break the DMA. I'll get by fine with other AI products in the meantime.
You do know that Google is fighting the same DMA rules as Apple?
They need to similarly make Gemini hot-swappable to anything on Android and don't want to.
Apple was just first because they're a bigger and more visible target.
