Seems like a scenario where two completely avoidable wrongs....killed 120 children. AI being one of the wrongs.

It was humans who executed the order though.
The US government just tries to shift blame for atrocities. This also, by the way, coincides with the US government trying to abolish a world court investigating war crimes. Hopefully we'll have an objective world court one day, so ALL war criminals get prosecuted, at all times.
