Said it for a long time. My biggest problem with Apple hardware is the software.

Except for VRR, HDR, touch id, video encoding and a sleep mode that doesn't drain your battery.
No doubt it's anything but perfect, but I can give anecdata that my M1 just slept overnight while not plugged in, and I had 99% charge just now when I opened it up to check HN.
Absolutely. There is a long way to go but at least there is some good foundations.
