I wonder how they got access to the ordinarily Google-locked "session" installer. Did Google open it up because of EU rules? I doubt it.

The support for that was added to Android 14 in 2023: https://developer.android.com/about/versions/14/features#req...
F-Droid took until now to use those APIs.
