People don't like to hear this, but we're going to need to become technologically literate as a society. Your local bread shop is going to need to use facebook. Your dentist is going to have to learn to use the latest x-ray machine, not the one they still have from 1992. And yes, your police are going to have to know that ALPR cameras aren't magical criminal identification devices.
Why? The police still get paychecks and nothing bad will happen to them if they don't understand the technology.
That just ignores knock-on effects.
"using facebook", unironically presented as evidence of "technologically literate" is so funny
And yet plenty of businesses languish because they can't do so.
