I would say removing the need for personal vehicles were possible would be a much more powerful force, but yours is much more practical at least short term (decade's time frame).

    Ah yeah. I love the idea of no cars at all. But if we do have to have cars then cars powered solely by the sun is the way to go.

    Yeah I’d prefer teleportation, time travel and world peace too.

      I do find it funny that the idea of removing cars (not all of them mind you) is somehow seen as the equivalent of teleportation. In our modern society, I get it, it is practically the same mentally and yet objectively they are very different.

      Complete aside, I wish that we had things like that, like doorways to other parts of the world.

      Let's go to lunch in Tbilisi walks through door to there. Once done, just walk back through to home.

      Funny you would say that, considering there ARE other choices, they even existed in the US until your car lobbied to dismantle it.

      I am of course talking about public transportation. Bike + tram + train keeps the citizens fit and healthy.

      We have teleportation, at least in as far as it relates to doing your job if that is white collar work. We just won’t use it as much as we could.
