I’ll admit, I read some papers about basic instrumental drives common to all goal-directed behaviour, that suggested artificial intelligence might end up competing with us (and soon after, outcompeting us). But I am relieved to learn that if this does happen, it will be an “artificial stupidity” instead of an artificial intelligence that repurposes the atoms I am made of.
