For me the tragedy is that people quickly forgot about washing hands, masking when sick and strong preferrability of working from home and remote education. We were forced to make progress but mostly went back on it so quickly.
Yes! How did SARS original bring the face-mask-when-ill culture to Asia, but covid-19 failed to do the same worldwide?
