Sure but the point is to focus on other countries/continents/peoples and their vaccine skepticism because that’s more interesting and less talked about.

Sure but the point is to focus on other countries/continents/peoples and their vaccine skepticism because that’s more interesting and less talked about.
I am more interested in my own country (the USA) because it is our national vaccine hesitancy/skepticism/denial/chicanery that will ultimately be more likely to have causal effects on my own health.
I’m less interested in the US’s vaccine hesitancy because it’s already well-known and overly talked about. The US also only represents a small fraction of the global population and so when it comes to things like pandemics it is really important what the rest of the world does and their vaccine skepticism is largely more important from a global perspective.
Focusing on the US is just a western privileged point of view focused on tropes like American exceptionalism.
