A right-wing country consistently votes right. If anything (judging by their election history), Brazil is a left-wing country ...

... it's just that what always happens, in any democratic country, happened: one party was in power for too long, got complacent, and stopped serving the people. The other party came back from a long period in the wilderness to take over (much like Democrats are about to do in America ... but no one is calling us a left-wing country).
