Adding to this thread, a lot of companies have donation matching. For the past two years, I've donated 4k a year out of my paycheck to various non profits such as a literary magazine, a native american cultural group, a refugee non-profit, and a climate change non-profit. Best money I've ever spent, because the ROI was double with the company matching.
