A petition is useful when in a certain nation, the rule of law says that if you reach a certain number of signatures, something will happen.

A private company, asking people to "sign a petition", is just a clever, and hideous, trick.

I have nothing against Orkut, or this new thing. But please, don't fool me with this BS.
