the most popular phones in the US (iPhone pro max and pro) have had lidar cameras for the past 6 models...
Some quick googling suggests that in the US, only 60% of people have iphones, and only 50% of iphones in use are pro or max. I would guess that HN skews towards more recent and higher end phones, but also skews towards android. Maybe saying most people don't have lidar is inaccurate, but I think it's still accurate to say the majority of people don't have lidar.
Most people don't have lidar phones. The statement is still very true, even if you said US only. What are you trying to say?
