One great thing about the Trump administration is that it exposed to the US’s mostly western allies what the rest of the World has known for a long time: that the US is just another oppressive empire that doesn’t hesitate to crush whomever they perceive to be a threat to their hegemony.

Boy are you going to be surprised when you get to the section in history class about european countries!

  • Which ones of the 51 European countries you believe I am ignorant of their history? Anyhow, my point had nothing to do with Europe’s history. I was just saying that except for Putin and allied fascists European now realize that at best the US is unreliable ally and a bully in decline.

You mean the allies that have been comfortably riding the coat tails of it for 75 years? Those ones?

  • Your post reads like it is refuting GP but I can’t unambiguously make out what you’re saying.

GP is saying the USA is increasing naked in its imperial attitude, crushing whoever is a threat to its imperialism. This is increasingly visible to its allies. In other words, those allies should start to act like the USA is the threat it is.

    Are you refuting that?

Or are you implying that due to the past alliance with the USA, the allies should remain blind to the increasingly naked threat the USA is to its past allies and the rest of the world?

Can you please spell out your claim and supporting reasoning?
