It sounds like an interesting thought, but can you ground it to the facts? It's not as obvious as you claim. Like there are plenty of things and ideas we use now which were found cause somebody worked on originally military goals. I don't have numbers though to compare it to "peaceful inventions", and it gets even murkier deeper in history.
I have deep suspicion however that abundance may work against inventiveness cause humans are optimized for laziness (or call it safety and energy saving to make more neutral), and whole societies seem to be generally optimized for stability, while inventions are inherently disruptive, and require work besides just thinking.
