I think you are right. Right now I'm on Fedora because I asked the LLM for the most boring and reliable Linux distro for doing development. I'm at the point in my life that I prefer stability to many other attributes - I like boring tech and Fedora is boring.
I'm waiting to see if Omarchy switches to NixOS for their next major release. I have ~100GB of unpartitioned space ready for experimentation and NixOS is the most likely candidate.

I bounced around distros for a good while and nothing ever stuck until I tried Fedora. Now Linux is all I use. It's low friction and low maintenance.
Plus I went and installed a bunch of cool desktop effects so it's cool to me now :)
