Also stepping into a fair use minefield.
On the one hand, I feel like there was this nice little niche of hyper technical people that had formed nice communities. Then AI bros came in took all the attention and resources.
On the other hand, I have significant concerns that this is a mechanical transformation that will blow up for everyone and undo the last 40 years of fair use progress.
Early copyright based legal arguments about the training of pirated information for AI didnt have much success. Im sure it will continue not being an issue for the frontier labs while copyright laws are enforced for everyone else.
