I can do a project that took me weeks/months much faster now as long as I don't have to involve other people in the decisions.

This. So much this.
Are AI models incredibly powerful tools? Yes.
Do they have the ability to telepathically sense what the various stakeholders in the development process actually wanted? No.
I worked at Meta and we had AGI in the form of very competent ICs - getting anything done was often super painful because "org priority" this and "buy in" that
Ah, you're point that AI can't solve the problem of conflicting requirements is right.
But you're strongly echoing the parent, who's then essentially saying "just don't talk to other people and you won't have conflicting requirements", which I'd say is strongly wrong. Complexity involves conflicting requirements. These will exist in a single developer complexity gets to certain level.
No, they'll just hack your colleagues laptop to "telepathically sense what [they] actually wanted".
I feel like this was always true to an extent, now product and design are just more tolerant of it because leadership is cracking a whip over their heads because things are supposed to be much faster “because ai” so things like pixel perfect hand offs, adhering to existing design system, making sure you are aligned with the brand, copy is reviewed with marketing go out the window. Now everything is shipping in hackathon mode with an eng driving decisions they really should not be.
I should frame this for the wall behind me when I run meetings with my team. It’s the core problem with AI in coding.
Isn't the core problem that everyone thinks they can now "code", and you have to justify the invisible bits, such as UX and maintenance.
We've got a customer success manager using Claude Code and getting PRs rubber stamped to prod where I work. I've given up caring about the quality of the code at this point. Executives won't care about code quality until the ship is literally sinking. Oh well.
Even projects that you could have done without having to look anything up?
In my experience, it seems to mostly save time on things you don't really know that well, whilst depriving you of the chance to learn new things.
