As someone who is building one of these referred to systems in a major vertical in the Fortune 500, these LLMs are very much being used to eat major legacy systems and processes. There are still plenty of obstacles to overcome but the number of AI governance and steering groups that I have been apart of are indicative of what's happening in a major industry.

Those LLMs are not being wielded by 2 tech bros in a garage replacing the 100 000 person company.

Those LLMs are being adopted by the huge enterprise itself and being surrounded from all sides by a very complex procedural harness (aka regular programming) that stops the LLM from doing dumb stuff.
