I have come to the comfortable conclusion that in 20 years I will have two computers. One is my phone, used for buying stuff, banking, etc.

That could happen but passkeys won't be the reason why.
I wonder if you read the article or even some of the other insightful quotes in here? Passkeys that require attestation will be part of the reason why
