In the context of Meta trying to get non-technical people to embrace Muse agents to handle personal affairs, their internal metric showing a ~3% violation rate for mishandling personal information seems unacceptably high.
There seem to be no downsides to mishandling PI so I don't think it's a big concern to Meta
Not long ago we used to have regulators that protected users from companies pushing out harmful or consumer hostile products.
