Software still sucks on Apple TV and feels like an afterthought compared to other platforms.
Yesterday I was watching Dark Matter on my Plex server. I asked Siri to turn on English subtitles which are there:

This is after Plex's big update recently...
I don’t think Siri ever worked with Plex but the new Plex app is a UI horror show.
I read reports that it handles video much better, but that wasn’t an issue I regularly faced.
It definitely does not handle video much better. It doesn't even handle the dolby vision profiles correctly anymore on the apple tv. It's straight up a regression.
It struggles with 4K h264 video files easily played by Infuse player because Plex inefficiently processes video files without web optimization enabled.
