By kicking old nerds off legacy.domain.name, they can relist domain.name on the open market and make an absolute killing.

If even only two people would be interested in foo.example.name and bar.example.name, they could make more of a killing with the old scheme. Apparently such interest is lacking.

  • The old scheme is just $20/y from both parties. The new scheme is $2000 from the one who won the auction of ”how much value do you price on keeping your established domain”

Plus all the added value from ”premium” domains such as @domain.name

And they don't do refunds if you prepaid!

  • Can you point us to this? If there’s a contract, they either need to adhere to the original terms until the end of the period, or they need to provide a pro-rated refund (whichever the contract stipulates).
