I am not much of a gamer and sure as hell don't keep up with many people that I gamed with 20 years ago but there was one guy that I would talk with ever few years. I talked with him and a few months later he was gone. I don't know why his suicide hit me so hard. Maybe because I connect him to a different phase of my life. Maybe because he was the guy who was the life of chat. I don't know.
What I do know is that I wish he could have known how many people would miss him.

Personally, that's not comforting. The real issue is the lack of reciprocal effort and understanding.
Generally, people miss how others make them feel and the benefit of knowing them. I rarely see people miss or grieve the individual.
