What a facile statement. Yes things change in life, but as society we try to avoid changes that rapidly render people and their lives worthless.

What a facile statement. Yes things change in life, but as society we try to avoid changes that rapidly render people and their lives worthless.
When did we last try to avoid such a thing? The way I remember history we celebrate this whenever it happens. Like how the electronic computer made the job of human computers obsolete.

Human computers didn't celebrate this, the next generation did.
It was awful for the human computers, just like this transition is going to be awful for us, even if it leads somewhere better eventually.
