Yeah because its gone a bit viral. It'll settle down over time as people try it and dispose of it.

I think it was ousted by a fast food chicken app fwiw. Couldn’t tell you why.

threads has roughly ~150 million DAU. That's roughly on the same scale is twitter. Also checks out on play store downloads at like half a billion.
I'd say that's pretty damn large given the tone in places such as this.
