The Hamas charter is more-or-less isomorphic to the Likud charter, Likud being the currently ruling political party of Israel. So it's not fair to assign asymmetric blame to those charters.

On the contrary, I was using those charters to establish shared blame, rather than singling out Israel for every act of aggression in the conflict.

  • Regardless of what their pieces of paper say, Israel is the one that started wars against all of its neighbours.

    • This is a multi-sided conflict. Ignoring reality and history won't help, even if you feel very strongly that one of those sides is right.

        - 1956 - Israel invades the Sinai
        - 1967 - Israel preemptively strikes Egypt in response to military buildup
        - 1973 - Egypt and Syria invade Israel
        - 1982 - Israel invades Lebanon
        - 2006 - Hezbollah attacks Israel
