No, it's absolutely not a good thing. First, I trust Apple with my health data more than I trust Withings. They have many more billions to lose if it gets out that they're abusing PHI. Second, even if Apple were evil, that means Withings is charge you $100 to send your PHI to Apple. They're profiting off the evil.

There's no reasonable way to describe this as a good thing.
