I don't like the "fearless concurrency" motto, because it often gets discussed in isolation of all kinds of concurrency and ways to access resources in systems languages.

It suffices that the resource being accessed concurrently isn't inside in same memory space like shared memory, mapped regions, a database connection, where the Rust type system can do very little to prevent other processes, or conflicting SQL queries without proper transactions, to mess up with the data coherency.
