You’re missing the point of the parent comment. IP exists BECAUSE things are easy to copy. If Apple REA’d Windows and sold it, Microsoft will get paid BECAUSE of IP. The system is working as designed.
Sure, this is why IBM gets a cut for every IBM-compatible PC clone sold /s
