Seriously though, how did nobody find this? It's not like you needed an LLM to check the random number generator. Given how much interest there was by cryptography people it is surprising.

Seriously though, how did nobody find this? It's not like you needed an LLM to check the random number generator. Given how much interest there was by cryptography people it is surprising.
People were primed by the recollection of one of the original developers (and corroborated by other sources) that it was a hash of some funny passphrase like "Give [the devs] a raise".
"It's not like you needed an LLM to" is going to be a recurring phrase from now on.
