It's not a flying car. It's a meme stock marketing stunt. I mean, it looks cool and I enjoyed the video but this stuff is not happening and will not be available, ever, probably.

It’s like.. cool! I guess?
How many years ago did Elon lie and say the roadster would be available? How about put out the thing people reserved back then instead of skipping to a version of it nobody asked for.
It’s like he’s a bad product manager, forcing you to build things nobody actually wants. Except make that product manager a trillionaire surrounded by sycophants. Nightmare shit.
When you’re the trillionaire you are the customer and product manager. They are building things for themselves. Cybertruck is another great example.
I think this is just a matter of him wanting to heat up his sycophants and cultists, and he knows he can, and that's why he bought X.
I'm not denying that there's some cool tech going on in there but this approach just makes me cringe. He knows well what he is doing and that's why I used the term "meme stock". This shit will not make any revenue, ever, probably but the demo moves the stocks.
Does Tesla have value? Yes it does. The cars work. I've never driven one but everyone I've spoken to few people who have, all of which really enjoyed driving them.
Flying cars will not ever be a thing. At least for not the next 50-100 years. Goddammit this shit is so stupid.
7 years ago Elon posted a tweet revealing how the Roadster will work. The yesterday’s demo was a 100% match to what he had said. I don’t think you understand Elon. Actually, I’m going to rephrase - you don’t understand Elon at all. There was no demo of a car yesterday, and he gives zero fks about the stock price.

Went to a trade show where a mechanical factory arm was spinning and moving a car around in the air, demonstrating its dexterity and strength. Also just a marketing stunt because there’s no practical reason for a mechanical factory arm to be doing such things. Just 100x less engineering effort gone into it.
Are you all shocked and writing about it. Mission accomplished.
Exactly! people have done hovercrafts and quadrocopters too, big deal. we already know you need 500wh/kg plus to have any kind of sustained flight. so this will be a parlor trick.
My main suspicion is that this is done to prop up SpaceX stock till the next big unlocks are done and eventually it gets included in major indexes. after that its Adios Suckers!
In any case they should first deliver on tesla semi than keep jumping onto these gimmick low volume products.
