Does anyone ever read what code these models produce? 50% or more is just crap: meaningless tests, convoluted code, a lot of indirection, unreadable with a lot of bugs. I am not surprised that they merge as much as they do, they just dont know what the code does but see it is somewhat working. Most people who are impressed by it, I am sure, are just shit coders themselves ngl

The less you understand code, the more you're impressed by coding chatbots - in part because you're less likely to read the bot's code, and if you do, less likely to realise how poor it is. Code gets judged good simply because it exists and costed little to create.
