One of these people use their money to spread hate and promote themselves, the other does not.

The problem here is that one side of the political debate now uses "hate" as a synonym for "political opinions I disagree with". The political rhetoric has gotten so out of control that it's making it difficult to have a civilized discussion about anything, even topics that aren't inherently political (like a freaking flying car that does 0-60 in 0.8s!).

  • Not really. It would be very simple for one of these parties to just not use symbols of old hate, or avoid spending hundreds of millions of dollars to remove crucial aid for millions of people. These are active choices. Glossing over these choices is not helpful to anyone.
