The thing which kills me about _Dune_ (well, one of them) is that for a long while in e-book editions on Amazon Kindle the word "pogrom" was rendered as "program", quite changing the original meaning (this _finally_ seems to be fixed and the 7 instances of pogrom and 8 instances of program are correct), which had a clear and distinctive rooting in history, c.f., Lesley Blanch's _The Sabres of Paradise_:

EDIT: The formatting error in the Glossary entry "Sandsnork" is still there though.
