If we as engineers didn't use similar terminology to describe any code not written by ourselves for the last few decades perhaps people would take it seriously.

Claude was trained on engineering wittering.
Fairly sure all LLMs were trained on ads and sales and marketing copy as there's probably 1000 times more of that on the internet.
