The speculation is because it’s such an absurd thing to demo or even aspire to. Nobody wants or needs this. So why do it?
I guess the answer is because it was Musk’s whim and nobody dared say no, which doesn’t bode well for Tesla.
Are you not aware that other auto companies produce concept cars?
Why do anything? Why don't we all live in a joyless, pointless world where nobody does anything on a whim because it doesn't contribute to efficiency and shareholder profits?
