How did they fail ? I've gotten very good performance. And they provide much better upload speeds. Maybe I just got lucky and I'm a single hop to a good underground connection. Only other option is pretty limited docsis
It failed because of packet loss, unreliability, and it couldn't compete in speeds with providers that could deliver real 900Mbps downstream speed tests. And definitely not anything like 500+ upstream either.
It's better than a shitty docsis3 but not better than a docsis3.1 operator that cares about what it's doing.
